Getting Around in Orlando

Getting around in Orlando can be difficult so here's some options on how to visit all that it has to offer.

Hiring a car in Orlando is one of the best ways to get around. Orlando is a huge area and if you’re looking to visit attractions outside of Orlando (such as Legoland, the beaches or even Busch Gardens) then you’ll definitely want to hire a car.

Hiring a car is also great to let you do what you want, when you want, it gives you the freedom to do a lot more than you could if you were solely relying on public transport.

If you’re looking to hire a car in Orlando, we’d recommend using our Orlando Car Hire Deals search page to find you the best deal.

For those of you who do not want to hire a car, there are several other ways for you to get around, including the I-Ride Trolley.

The I-Ride Trolley is a hop-on/hop-off bus that travels up and down International Drive all day. It operates from 8am til 10:30pm daily.

A single adult ride is $2.00, $1.00 for kids aged 3-9 when accompanied by a paying adult and senior citizens (65+) is just $0.25.
Please note: Drivers do not carry cash so exact change is needed!

There is also an option to pre-purchase daily passes, with the most popular for UK visitors being the 7 and 14 day passes, priced at $12.00 and $18.00.

As you cannot buy these passes on the bus, they’re better of being purchased before you travel on the I-Ride Trolley website.

For those not hiring a car and wanting to visit further than International Drive, there is also the option to take the Lynx bus across the whole of Orlando.

At $2 for a single ride and length of stay passes available this is a great money saver for those of you who would otherwise hire taxis and cars as is an easy way to visit the whole of Florida.

Otherwise more details, including maps, stops, schedules and the option to buy tickets is all available from their website at

A free shuttle to Busch Gardens with any paid Busch Gardens ticket.

This shuttle picks up from designated stops and therefore can become quite busy, especially during peak times, so pre-booking this shuttle is a definite must!

Pick-ups and drop-offs are dependant on park opening hours and are subject to change.

The Legoland transportation is also a must if you haven’t got car hire and are planning to visit Legoland.

As Legoland is a 50 minute drive away from all the other parks in Orlando, this bus is one we definitely recommend.

Priced at $5 per person for a round trip, it’s a lot less than getting a taxi! Pick up is at I-Drive 360 at 9am, however, you must be there 30 minutes before departure to guarantee a seat.

All passengers must have a pre-booked reservation in order to board, you can’t just hop-on!
