Kennedy Space Center have just announced a rocket launch on 16 September, 2014 at approximately 5:55 p.m EDT.

Here’s the info that we have been given:

When: September 16 – 5:44pm EDT

Where: SLC-41, Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Kennedy Space Center

Rocket: Atlas V

According to Kennedy Space Center the Atlas V rocket will launch the CLIO mission on a commercial flight for a U.S. government customer.

There are several places that you will be able to see this launch, including in NASA’s launch headquarters, the Kennedy Space Center visitor complex and the Apollo/Saturn V Center, which are all included with your admission cost to Kennedy Space Centre.

Our Recommendation: We recommend watching the launch from a distance, as you get a better view and it’s better for pictures. While the atmosphere in the viewing areas is brilliant, you don’t get the views that you do when you are a little bit further away from the launch.
