It’s no great secret that Disney’s Hollywood Studios is undergoing a huge makeover – with the Fantasmic hat being removed and multiple attractions being closed.
Now it has been revealed by CEO Bob Iger that the park is now to get a new name to go with all the new theming.
Igr was asked by a six year old child whether the park would be changing it’s name, here’s what he replied:
We used to be MGM Studios, we changed to Hollywood Studios and we’re doing some significant work there right now that I guess will result in a name change, now we can announce that. It’s not been announced, right? No.
We’ll announce that we’re changing the name but we won’t announce what we’re changing it to. How’s that?
Disney has so far removed the Studio Backlot Tour, the American Idol experience in order to make way for more Star Wars attractions and other Pixar franchises such as Toy Story and Cars.
