Our first visit to this hotel was in 1998 then 2009 when it was still Quality Inn International, we stayed again in 2013 and again in 2014, at this time it was Rosen Inn International – we loved it so much that we are booked to go again in October this year.
When booking to go to Orlando, we will never stay anywhere else on I-Drive for the following reasons:
This hotel is perfectly located on I-Drive and is convenient for the Interstate, I-Ride Trolley and the Lynx buses – it also has great restaurants and shops nearby.
The Rosen Inn International is a friendly hotel and we have always found all the staff to be helpful and polite.
In the Lobby area they have public phones and a ATM machine and they also have a desk were you can go to purchase park tickets, etc as well as booking the park shuttles. (N.B: The shuttles need to be booked at least the night before.)
The hotel has free WiFi and Parking and as a bonus it includes free shuttles to Universal and SeaWorld. Shuttles to Walt Disney World are $18 per person, but if you are looking for something a bit more private, taxis are also available from outside the main entrance to the hotel.
It has a Lit Bite Deli that stays open until midnight which sell groceries, snacks, drinks, gifts, etc. The prices are obviously a little dearer than Walmart but if you’ve forgotten something that you need, or just want a late night snack, it’s a life saver!
There is a bar which also serves food which is great, they have entertainment and karaoke on some nights and there is a relaxing outside area for those who want to chill with a cocktail or two after a long day at the parks.
The area also has comfy seats, plenty of tables and chairs, it even has a pool table! Children are allowed in the bar and outside area but obviously not at the bar itself.
There is a restaurant on site which serves buffet style breakfast and evening meals at a charge but we very rarely ate at the hotel because of all the other great places to eat nearby.
The Rosen Inn International has two huge pools which are cleaned every morning and even the sun loungers, tables and chairs are sanitised. There is also a small children’s play area located nearer the larger of the two pools so even time by the pool can be entertaining for all.
The hotel also features a gym, laundry facilities throughout, a gift shop, chill out areas and ice/drink machines across the hotel.
The rooms are a great size and we have never had any problems. The rooms have always been extremely clean and tidy upon arrival and are extremely comfortable.
The beds are extremely comfortable and come in a range of different sizes, however, most rooms have two queen size beds and linen is changed by housekeeping staff during their daily clean.
The rooms have air con throughout, a free safe, iron & ironing board, hair dryer, tea & coffee making facilities (although no kettle, however you can ask at reception and they will provide one), a large flat screen TV, wardrobe, drawers and a desk and chair.
Nothing is to much trouble for the maintenance or any of the staff, for example in 2013 our air con didn’t work (Arghhhhhh) so we reported it to reception and someone arrived within 10 mins and fixed it. While he thought he had repaired it, it broke again (Arghhhhhhh) so we reported it and again within 10 mins they came with a complete new air con unit and it took him 20 mins to install.
The staff are extremely friendly and thorough and we’d have no problems recommending this hotel.
This hotel is definitely a 10 out of 10 from us…
