While we were in Orlando this year, we got a chance to take advantage of the water taxi’s that are available between the hotels on-site at Universal Orlando Resort – here’s what we found.
If you’re looking for the quickest and most relaxing way to get to the parks then look no further and let the water taxi’s whoosh you away to make your magical memories.
The boats are extremely comfortable, the drivers make you feel at home and fill you with all the information you need to know.
The water taxis are constantly going between the on-site hotels (Loews Royal Pacific Resort, Loews Portofino Bay Hotel and The Hard Rock Hotel), approximately every 10-15 minutes.
What time does it start and finish?
The boats start approximately 1 hour before the park opens for EARLY ADMISSION and close just after CityWalk closes at 2am. While we were there the parks had early admission at 7am, so the boats started at 6am. BE PROMPT for the 2am boat ride back, otherwise you will have to walk!
Approximately 30-45 minutes before the park opens for early admission and against around 30 minutes before the park opens for general admission. It’s also worth noting that when the park closes, everyone rushes to the boats, so it’s worth trying to get out around 15-20 minutes early to avoid this as the lines are long.
How long do they take?
This is dependant on what hotel you are staying in… Here’s a rough guide:
Loews Portofino Bay Hotel: Around 5-6 minutes to CityWalk (and vice versa)
The Hard Rock Hotel: Around 3-4 minutes to CityWalk (and vice versa)
Loews Royal Pacific Resort: Around 2-3 minutes to CityWalk (and vice versa)
