Twister to Close; Replaced by Jimmy Fallon Inspired Ride

That’s right, you heard it here, after 17 years of special effects Twister… Ride It Out is set to close!

The attraction at Universal Studios will close on November 2 to make way for a brand new attraction starring the comedian Jimmy Fallon.

In 2017, Jimmy Fallon – host of ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’ will be the star of a hilarious ride experience called Race through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Universal say riders will enjoy the full “Tonight Show” experience as they’re transported to Studio 6B to race against Jimmy in a crazy adventure that only he could imagine.

The adventure will begin as guests step right into Studio 6B, where Jimmy will challenge them, leaving riders twisting and turning as they speed through the streets – and skies – of The Big Apple – encountering everything from iconic landmarks to the deepest subway tunnels – and anything else that comes to Jimmy’s mind.

Jimmy and his creative team are working closely with Universal to develop the ride’s storyline and bring his vision to life.

But for now, it’s a sad goodbye to the legendary Twister… Ride It Out – so raise your glasses (no, not the 3D kind.. maybe the sunglasses…) for another sad replacement.
