Disney testing virtual queue system at Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach waterparks

Disney have just begun testing a new virtual queueing system at Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach waterparks at Walt Disney World.

From what we can see, the system is quite like the FastPass+ system and similar in functionality to Universal’s Volcano Bay Tapu Tapu, allowing guests to reserve a space in the line without physically having to be in it.

The only difference with FastPass+ and this system is that it’s not done digitally and won’t allow you to ‘pre-book’ access to the rides. You will still have to turn up at the entrance and get a time to come back, a lot like the old FastPass system.

The Virtual Queueing test is set to take place until 7 April 2017 at the following attractions:

Blizzard Beach:

  • Downhill Double Dipper
  • Slush Gusher
  • Summit Plummet

Typhoon Lagoon:

  • Miss Adventure Falls
