Wet ‘N Wild land set to become Universal’s 7th on-site hotel

We’ve just had it confirmed that the land Universal owns from Wet N Wild is hotting up to be used for Universal’s 7th on-site hotel.

We’ve seen Cabana Bay, Sapphire Falls and the upcoming Aventura Hotel – giving Universal just a little over 6000 on-site rooms, but we know that with the growth they’re seeing it just isn’t enough.

Our friends over at the Orlando Sentinel say that Universal have filed documents with the City of Orlando seeking a master plan framework for the hotel and while the documents do not mention the name or theme of the hotel, they do show roughly what to expect. Universal are looking to add three parking structures and clear out an entire portion of a street.

The new addition to Universal’s hotels would see an extra 4,000 rooms.

We’ll keep you in the loop when we have more information, in the meantime, Like us on Facebook to stay up-to-date!
