It’s the summer of changes for Disney in 2018, as not only are they opening Toy Story Land – but they’re also making several changes across the parks – including the Be Our Guest restaurant.
It appears that Disney want to make some serious changes to the food offering, probably to speed up service within the restaurant and have more diners in on a given night.
Beginning July 27, 2018, Dinner service at Be Our Guest will change from a la carte into a prix fixe dinner menu – giving you a choice of appetizer and entrée, along with a personal dessert platter.
What’s on the menu?
The starter menu has plenty of choice, including favourites like the French Onion Soup in addition to the new offerings; Charred Octopus with citrus-laced fingerling potatoes, pickled hearts of palm and red pepper coulis; Escargot with herb garlic butter and toasted gremolata; and a selection of assorted meats and artisanal cheeses such as chicken liver pâté, chorizo sausage Manchego, and truffle tremor.
The main course will include entrées such as Grilled Center-Cut Filet Mignon with potato au gratin, Romano beans, Cipollini marmalade and a cherry-laced red wine reduction; the Smoked Black-Eye Pea Tortellini with roasted seasonal vegetables, tomato relish and basil-scented tomato water; Poulet Rouge Chicken; Saffron-Infused Seafood Bouillabaisse; Roasted Lamb Chops and Kurobuta Pork Tenderloins.
We’ve been told that Disney are still working on the dessert (and the kids) menu, but we’re hoping that at least one of the options has ‘The Grey Stuff’ included on it!
What will it cost?
We’ve seen reports (WDWMagic) that the new dinner will cost around $55 for adults and $35 for children.
It has been confirmed that the Be Our Guest restaurant will now be 2 table service credits on the dining plan – it was previously 1 credit.
Any other changes?
Nothing else has changed at the restaurant. You’ll still be able to meet the Beast after dinner, and as before, you won’t be charged in advanced for the meal.
Reservations have already began for the new menu, so don’t forget to make your reservation 180 days before.
